It was a beautiful quiet night last night and we had a clear sky this morning. A reached Gillman’s Point while the other climbers were able to continue on to Uhuru Peak by 0900. All the climbers are very happy, though A has a cough due to the dry, cold wind.

R has totally recovered now after a warm night with 2 sleeping bags. We have a chilly morning today and we left Barranco @ 0800 en route to Barafu. The climbers are feeling good.

R doesn’t have any altitude symptoms but is suffering with the cold since last night. Since we reached Barranco today, she is shivering with the cold inside her sleeping bag although she has all of her summit clothes on. She has had lots of hot drinks and she has improved a little. We reached Barranco Camp @ 1615. It is foggy here.

We have reached our ‘base camp’ and it is cloudy and windy. The team did wonderful today and they are all happy, strong and ready for the push to the summit later tonight. We request everyones prayers for a safe trip to the summit and down again.
