We have already reached Mawenzi Tarn, had lunch and taken an acclimatisation trek to 4,500m We are descending back to camp now, and all 7 climbers are doing well.

We trekked from Karanga to Barafu. leaving camp @ 0900 and arriving here by 1145. All 3 climbers are doing well and are very happy. The windy has turned windy and foggy.

One climber (M) reached Uhuru Peak this morning and the other (G) reached Gillman’s Point and then had to turn back because of the altitude. They are both OK and we are heading to Horombo Huts. It was windy last night.
