We started our trek to Uhuru Peak at midnight as planned. Unfortunately 1 climber experienced severe headaches @ 5,000m and therefore had to descend while the other climber (MZ) was able to continue on and reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro @ 0700. We are now on the way to Horombo, and the other climber has improved already. Both climbers are OK but very tired.

We have arrived at Mawenzi Tarn Hut and the climbers are doing well. This afternoon we will take an acclimatisation trek towards Mawenzi peak.

Both the climbers are doing well and today we are trekking to Kikelewa Camp via 2nd Caves for a hot lunch. These climbers are in good shape and are enjoying the weather on Kilimanjaro today.

We are heading to the lunch stop at 2nd Caves Camp before then heading to Kikelewa Camp. We left Simba Camp @ 0730 and both climbers are doing well, and are enjoying the wonderful weather and nice scenery.

These climbers are both experiencing headaches, but nothing that is causing them concern. We have arrived at School Hut and both climbers are doing well. The weather was windy before, but is quiet now. We are relaxing after preparing our gear for the assault on Uhuru Peak later tonight.
